Tim Sheridan, the California Democratic Party’s 2014 endorsed candidate in California’s 42nd Congressional District, has been endorsed again in 2016.
“I’m honored that Democrats in California’s 42nd Congressional District and Democrats in California have endorsed my candidacy again,” Sheridan said.
“Our message has been one of positive, dynamic leadership,” Sheridan added, “I have pledged that when I’m not in Washington, I will be in the District working on constituent issues and attending community events. It is something that the current representative is not doing,” he noted.
Sheridan also said that he would focus on bringing good paying jobs to the Inland Empire; protecting Social Security, including dealing with offsets; being a leading voice on climate change; and working on a solution to the student loan debt crisis facing the country.
“We need to lower student loan interest rates,” he said, “It is prohibiting young people from being able to fully function in the economy.”
Sheridan plans to run a positive campaign focused on meeting as many voters as possible.
“A member of the House should be in his/her district as much as possible. I’m going to give the voters a preview of what I’ll do when I’m in Congress by attending events in the District on a regular basis throughout the campaign. I am looking forward to the next eight months.”
California’s 42nd Congressional District, a geographical area shaped like the letter “X,” runs along the I-15 corridor from Eastvale, southeast to Temecula, and northeast along the I-215 and CA-79 corridors to Beaumont. It also includes the communities of Corona, Norco, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, Murrieta, Menifee, Sun City, Winchester, Homeland and Nuevo. Mr. Sheridan lives in Lake Elsinore.
