The Committee to Elect Tim Sheridan to Congress is organizing a relief effort to provide assistance for the hundreds of refugees that are coming to the Border Patrol station located Murrieta, California this week. Many of the refugees are young children, and mothers with young children.

“While there are fundamental structural flaws to our current immigration policies that need to be addressed, our team sees this as an urgent humanitarian issue – not a political issue,” Sheridan said. “We have decided to reach out through our extensive database of supporters and ask them for donations. Our country has a rich history of helping others in need both at home and abroad. We are doing this because it’s the right thing to do.”
